The Taroona Congregation meets in a house type building at 1 Taroona Crescent, Taroona (just off the Channel Highway) about 10 km South of Hobart.  Prior to union in June 1977 the Taroona Congregation was already a united church with Methodist, Congregationalist and Presbyterians combining to form a congregation. It enjoyed a system of oversight from each of the three denomination in turn for three year periods. This arrangement was in place from 1954 until the congregation agreed to enter the Uniting Church and become part of the former Kingborough Parish.
