About the library

The Collection

The library has been established to encourage and educate members of the congregation in their faith.  It contains a variety of different Christian resources for all ages.  While the Dewey Decimal System has been used to categorise the books, various prefixes in the call numbers have also been used in the collection:

1.  F - Fiction

2.  B - Biography

3.  S - Bible study

4.  J - Junior

4.  VID - Video

5.  DVD - DVD

Children's books' call numbers are ordered by author surname  (e.g. Max Lucado,  L) and are also assigned the tag (or subject heading) 'Children's collection' in the catalogue..

Online Library Catalogue

The library catalogue is hosted by a site called librarything.com.  This means that it is linked to other libraries and it is possible to view reviews provided by other libraries.

To search the catalogue, click on the  above Library Catalogue link.  To browse the entire catalogue click on the link 'see catalog' or to search for an individual item click on the 'search' tab.  To browse the catalogue using subject headings (tags), click on the appropriate tag provided.

If you have read a great book from our library, we would love to know about it.  Any reviews can be emailed to the librarian (don't forget to include a rating out of 5).   Reviews will be added to the library catalogue and may also be included in the Church newsletter.
